LYNN & PAM WOODS

We have resided in Texas most of our lives.  In August we will be celebrating our 26th anniversary.  We met in Gardendale Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas and were married there.  Pam was also saved at this church.  I was saved at Second Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, in 1982.  This was Lester Roloff’s old church.  We have two sons, Stephen and Kristopher.

OUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS

We have been very blessed to have been raised in churches that believed and taught the Word of God.  We have always been active in ministry.  We were the founders and directors of the Christian Service Center at Gardendale Baptist Church.  This ministry ministered to over 20,000 people in 16 years of operation.  Everyone who walked in the door received the gospel, prayer, and their physical needs met with food and clothing.  Over 700 people prayed to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Many were assimilated into local churches after salvation.  We have run Single’s Ministries for many years in two different churches.  Our groups participated in numerous ministry events including:  VBS in 5 different locations in Mexico, remodeling church buildings, repairing vehicles for women, taking care of the seniors home repairs, feeding the homeless once a month for several years and breaking the bread of life to them, nursing home ministry, working in an orphanage in Mexico, and all the fun trips we could afford.  We have run children’s church, children’s ministries, youth departments, and adult departments.  I have had the privilege to teach God’s Word for almost 24 years and Pam has started Women’s Ministries in two churches.  We have greatly appreciated the Lord allowing us to be used to further His Kingdom.

OUR CONSTRUCTION JOURNEY

We started our construction company 26 years ago.  I was raised by a father who worked in the building trades.  I would always work with Dad on holidays and in the summer vacations.  Early on, I learned the hands on side of the trades, and later went to college to learn the technical side.  As an accountant, Pam runs the office.  I have built houses from start to finish.  I currently travel the state remodeling stores for a large convenience store chain.  We have worked with the largest grocery store chain, and fast food chain.  We have been involved in oilfield construction, refinery construction, residential remodels, commercial remodels, school and medical construction, and much more.

I have been able to use this knowledge and ability to help build 10 churches, remodel and repair numerous church projects, design numerous projects for churches, work on committees for expansion projects and budgeting, repair senior’s homes, repair an orphanage in Mexico, remodel a parsonage and church building in Mexico, build Christmas sets and scenes, and whatever else was requested by our pastor and staff.

OUR GOALS:
Having lived the American dream with a big house, land, vehicles and successful business, we are content.  Until we saw people who are so desperately needy they will sell or abandon their children so they can eat and live.  We will provide the construction means for this ministry to have the buildings to house the orphans.  We will train the men to work with their hands and heads, so they can provide for themselves and families.  We will adopt our own family of orphans and raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
